Practical information

Phone in Ukraine

From 1.1 Ukraine has officially joined the EU roaming zone. This is a great advantage for us. This means that you can make calls free of cost from everywhere in Ukraine. Make sure that you have What´s App installed on your mobile phone. Also instruct people likely to call you from home to use What´s App.

What to bring?

Do travel light to make your tour easy and comfortable. Big, heavy luggage will cause problems on busses and trains. In Kyjiv Metro you have to pay extra for big size luggage. If you miss something you can easily purchase it in the cities we visit. But make sure to bring this;

  • headlamp or flashlight

  • powerbank

  • gift to your host family

  • two bank- or creditcards

  • swimming suit for the tour to Odesa

Washing of underwear, socks etc, I myself do when taking shower.

Generally speaking you are not supposed to bring donations in kind. However there are always a demand for electronics and other small needful items for the use of the army; used, emptied smartphones, computors, binoculars, etc. By customs regulation you are permitted to bring two phones and one computor. If you want to bring more, contact me over phone.
