Day 1 - 2. From Sweden, from Kraków

Ferry from Nynäshamn (near Stockholm) at 18.00
Arrival Gdansk at 12.00
Train to Kraków. Here we pick up participants joining i Kraków
Train to Przemysl near the border. Overnight at hotel Europejski
Day 3 - 4. Lviv
Train to Lviv in Ukraine. The Ukranian tourleader will meet on the platform
Afternoon we walk around in the historical city center, an UNESCO-listed area together with a local guide
Visit to the military cementary which is expanding fast
Visits to three volunteering organizations
Overnight train to Chernihiv. Sleepers
Day 5 - 7 Chernihiv
Chernihiv is more than a thousand years old and the most important town in northern Ukraine some 50 km from the Belarusian border. The city was designated as a Hero City by the Ukrainian government during the Ruzzian invation of Ukraine. The Russians occupied the surrounding countryside, but had to circumvent Chernihiv. Today it is a pretty city standing high on the banks of river Desna.
We meet Artem who lost one of his eyes. He is designated a national hero when he and his friends managed to evacuate thousands of civilians.
A full day tour to some of the villages that were occupied earlier. Listen to the stories told by the locals. A mixture of sheer horror and crazyness.
One of the days we will spend in a village where will also stay over night with local people.
Day 8 - 10. Kyiv
Morning train to Kyiv
Metro to Maidan the very center for this country. Check in at Hotel Ukraine.
One afternoon we see some of the most wellknown and exquisite sites; Sofia Cathredal, the Lavra, Motherland statue and walk along the high river bank of Dnieper
Visit to three or four volunteering organizations. One is the innovative UA Postcards. #StandWithUkraine - UA Postcards
Free time
Last evening by nighttrain Poland. Sleepers
Day 11 - 12. Warsaw or Sweden
In the morning change to train to Warsaw where you may leave if you earlier joined in Kraków.
Those going to Sweden catch the train for Gdansk where we spend a few hours before taking the ferry north to Sweden (Stockholm)
