Writing on the train on the way to Przemyl, a Polish border town. Right now we are passing Zaczarowanej (Polish is a wonderful language).

Yesterday we left Nynäshamn with 14 participants with Gedansk as our destination. Nice sunset through the archipelago. The shipping company offered a three-course meal and breakfast the next morning. Curt Sörmark, is one of us, this is his fourth tour with us to Ukraine.

At home he works with Ukrainian refugees in Jönköing. He says that some of them hope for a future in Sweden, others long for peace and absolutely want to return. He told me about an 11-year-old girl who refuses to learn Swedish. She suffers through the Swedish school, but in the evenings she connects to a Ukrainian school online. Dad is at the front and in the evenings he reads fairy tales to his daughter.
The train is delayed by an hour and we check in tired at Hotel Europejski just before midnight. As before, a chaotic check-in with a confused night porter. Four participants have already arrived on another train from Krakow and are now probably asleep. We are now 19.
23.4 Breakfast at the nice little café across the street, I thought. But oh how awful! The sweet girl who served warm baguettes is gone and replaced by three vending machines where I am expected to blip and tap to get something that you can only guess.

In 30 minutes I will be standing in line for passport control and the Ukrainian train that leaves at 10.41.
