Breakfast at City Buffé. Then a short walk to the big organisation Building Ukraine Together (BUR). We listened to Martha who talked of how they arranged building project all over the country. Young people from different parts of the country met and worked together for a couple of weeks or for longer periodes. A construction project as well as an integration project.

Next visit had to be cancelled. The guy behind it was called for inspection by the military yesterday and will probably do his job as the the drone expert that he is. I will try to keep up contact with Mykola.

Dzygas Paw

This is one of my favorite organizations. Basically they lend support to the military. Since the start in 2022 they have collected some 4 million dollars. The funding they mainly get from Ukrinians abroad. The spendings are meticulously reported and they are proud of having an overhead of only 10%. Compare that to what international organisations spend on administation. We shall only donate to the smaller volunteer-run organizations!

On the tram to the railway station

We boarded the train 20 minutes before departure. Tour leader Ira was as usual clever enough to get us (elderly) visitors the lower berths. In my compartmen there was a Ukrainian (not that elderly) couple. Despite my protests, she insisted in making my bed.

Our train came from somewhere else. In my compartment there was a man sitting. He had no legs. He spoke English and we had a short chat. He lost his legs when trying to save a friend in a battelfield when he was hit my a mine in Autumn 2023. He came to Lviv to visit his girlfriend. He worked as a quality assurance officer at an IT company. Slava Ukraini!

Tomorrow moirning we will be in Chernihiv in the north.
